Things to do in Berlin - Week of April 15, 2024!
We're all aware that finding a flat in Berlin is no easy task. Many of us have gone to great lengths to secure a home, and unfortunately, some have even fallen victim to scams along the way. I have a friend who's currently in search of a flat, and he channeled his frustration into a creative art piece. Even if you don't have any leads to offer, watching this video is sure to bring a smile to your face:

1. Fantasy Filmfest Nights
Over four days, fans of fantasy films can enjoy movies with a good dose of horror. It's interesting to know that fear can trigger the release of adrenaline and cortisol, the bodyβs stress hormones. Also, the brain releases endorphins and dopamine due to the stimulation. Endorphins alleviate pain and stress, while dopamine is a βfeel-goodβ neurotransmitter involved in mood regulation. After a horror movie, these hormones can induce feelings of relief and even a sense of reward for βsurvivingβ the experience, making it a positive stressor! Timetable.

2. Gabriela Beltramino - Live Music
Gabriela Beltramino is an Argentinian vocalist, actress, performer, sound therapist, and voice coach. She is currently presenting the music from her second album, where she combines elements of jazz and Argentinian folklore with pads, programming, and acoustic instruments. The venue is particularly special as it offers an intimate setting, offering a tolerant get-together-place for both residents and visitors of the area. More info.

3. Gelato Week
The Gelato Week Germany features artisanal ice cream with experimental flavors. Each participating gelateria selects a unique gelato flavor exclusive to their shop and offers it during the event week for β¬1.50 per scoop! I participated in this event last year and ended up discovering an Italian confectionery that has become our go-to source for buying cakes and sweets for different occasions. Hereβs a meme about the love affair of ice cream in Germany! More info.

6. How to Be a Man and Other Myths
A men's-only gathering on modern masculinity, loneliness, and community. Hosted by Jindy Mann, leadership coach and founder of Leader.Brother.Son and community builder and founder of Sharing Our Loneliness, Monika Jiang.
What does it mean to 'be a man' in today's disconnected world? Alongside the growing global loneliness crisis and pervasive isolation, many men find themselves disconnected from themselves and others, lacking direction, and yearning for a deeper purpose beyond the superficial offerings of modern life.
We invite you to join us for an evening of conversation and connection to explore and redefine what it means to be a man. More info.

Restaurant Review:
Seoul Garden (im Prenzlauer Berg) - (β4.5/5)
The food is good, and the outdoor space is pleasant on a sunny day. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant offers a variety of Korean dishes, including some that are not commonly found in other restaurants.
