May Day - May 1st, 2023
In Berlin, May Day is a day of political activism and there are often multiple gatherings and demonstrations throughout the city. One of the largest gatherings on May Day in Berlin is the Myfest in the Kreuzberg district. However, the district mayor of Kreuzberg has announced that there are no official plans for May 1st. But it is still likely that there will be some barbecues, dancing, and drinking taking place in the area between Oranienstrasse, Rio-Reiser-Platz, Naunynstrasse, and Mariannenplatz on May 1st. While these gatherings may not have official approval from the authorities, they have become a tradition in the neighborhood and are expected to draw a crowd.
