Aug 19-25: Atonal, Qweer Market, Silent Nature Journey, and more!
Things to do in Berlin - Week of Aug 19, 2024!
Our sister newsletter,
, is hosting a fun event called the Hands-on Street Art Tour on Tuesday, August 27th. We hosted a street art tour ourselves a while back (here’s the video), and it was amazing. It’s a great way to get to know your city better and learn about the stories and artists behind the murals you pass by every day. It encourages a deeper appreciation for your surroundings. Here’s a bit about the event in their own words:
Does Paradox, 1up crew, or CMYK Dots mean anything to you? What is the point of graffiti—is it art or vandalism? Join us on a tour around Hallesches Tor in Kreuzberg, where Tina Searle, an experienced Berlin tour guide, will help us put the street art into context. After the walking tour around Kreuzberg, we will join Assi and create our own graffiti (or tags) in a workshop -- you can spray or only hang out. You'll never look at the walls in Berlin the same way.

4. Silent Journey in Nature
A mix of analogue sounds and electronic beats leads you on a quiet musical walk through one of Berlin's beautiful nature reserves! This concert doesn’t just happen in the reserve; it moves through it, letting you connect with a place that was once industrial, then taken back by nature, and now features modern architecture and design. Two local artists (Detechtive + mxmx) will guide the event, set against a stunning natural and architectural backdrop. More info.

Restaurant Review:
Grindhouse Burgers | Prenzlauer Berg (⭐4.5/5)
Some people call it the best burger in town. While that might be debatable, they do serve good burgers, especially the ones with patties made from Entrecôte. This isn’t your typical Burgermeister-style burger joint; it’s on the pricier side (€14 for just the burger). However, if you only indulge in burgers occasionally, it might be worth spending a bit more for better quality meat.
