December 04-10: Christmas Market Meetup, FALLING | IN LOVE, Pornceptual Party, and More!
Things to Do in Berlin - Week of December 04, 2023!
A while back, I was contacted by someone who asked me to promote their event. I found their concept interesting because they aim to create a space for meeting new people and engaging in meaningful conversations. Their purpose resonated with what this newsletter is trying to achieve—taking people offline, even if just for a short while, from the online world and encouraging them to attend events in person to connect with others. Check out their Instagram page and event link if you’re interested.
As always, I’ve dedicated several hours to curate the finest upcoming events in the city for you.
Here's a sneak peek of what's in store this week:

3. Magic of the North: Edvard Munch in Berlin
The Berlinische Galerie's exhibition, "Magic of the North," explores Edvard Munch's impact on Berlin through approximately 80 paintings, prints, and photographs. Munch's radical modernity challenged artistic norms, notably influencing Berlin at the turn of the century. Initially shocking viewers with bright colors and perceived sketchiness in 1892, Munch's subsequent move to Berlin from 1892 to 1907 left an enduring mark, transforming the city's art scene. His works along the Spree signaled the dawn of modern art, challenging conventional perceptions of the "magic of the North. More info.

4. FALLING | IN LOVE
FALLING | IN LOVE presents a unique show crafted by Parisian designer Jean Paul GAULTIER. The narrative follows "You," a nonconforming character in Diamond City seeking love and facing societal challenges. As the ground beneath You crumbles, a different reality unfolds in the lost garden of love, questioning established norms. The story explores whether a young, deaf poet can find words to revive beauty and love in their unfiltered essence (suitable for non-German speakers). More info.
