Shoutout to the people who came to our Christmas market meetup. It was great to see some familiar faces and make new friends. It's amazing that every time we have a meetup, there are so many interesting people who join. Everyone is friendly and open to meeting new people, having conversations, and socializing.

1. Ruth Orkin: Women
The exhibition "Women" sheds light on an aspect of photographer Ruth Orkin that is less known – that of a perceptive, inquisitive, lively, and humorous chronicler of American women during the 1940s and 1950s. With keen insight, Orkin captured the 1940s and 50s through photo series like "Who Works Harder," which compared the lives of a housewife and mother with that of a career woman. Orkin documented women in various settings such as beauty salons, cocktail parties, dog shows, or Hollywood movie sets. More info.

3. Ukrainian Sound Garden vol.5: The Birth of Light
The Vitsche community invites everyone to join the special Christmas edition of Ukrainian Sound Garden at ACUD. Alongside an engaging music program, there's a contemporary twist on a traditional Vertep performance, a fusion of Christmas dishes, and a modern Ukrainian arts & crafts market. Emerging Ukrainian artists and special guests contribute to the festive atmosphere, aiming to fill hearts with hope. More info.

4. GlogauAIR Open Studios December 2023
In December, GlogauAIR wraps up a 3-month artist program with Open Studios. This features diverse projects from 15 in-person and 10 online Berlin artists from October to December. The showcase happens both physically and virtually. Simultaneously, the Project Space hosts the "Hold My Hand" exhibition by Maria León, selected as a Berlin Guest with Memoria Artística Chema Alvargonzalez. More info.

5. ÂME LIVE at WINTERLIGHTS
Frank Wiedemann, known as Âme, is set to deliver one of his renowned live sets at this year's WINTERLIGHTS event. The DARK MATTER outdoor area, adorned with over 80,000 lights in the sky of trees, will synchronize with Âme's set, creating a symphony of moving light and color in the winter night. The bar offers mulled wine and other warm beverages, as well as snacks and grilled sausages. More info.

6. MERRY MARKET HALL 2023!

Restaurant of the week:
Malakeh Restaurant - Syrian Cuisine
This is a Syrian restaurant that seems to be run by a family (I'm not sure, but it feels like the main cook is the mother of the family). The place looks more like a café, and the prices are on the higher side (around €20 per dish), but the quality and taste are definitely worth it. You can enjoy some truly authentic Syrian dishes that you won't find in all Arabic restaurants. The staff is super friendly, the place is clean, and they have tablets on tables for ordering food, which shows they're investing in staying up to date. I recommend visiting the place.
