1. Low-Budget Filmmaking at the Berlin Independent Film Festival
The Berlin Independent Film Festival (BIFF) offers opportunities for new directors to showcase their low-budget films and connect with other professionals. BIFF hosts a competition with categories such as feature, documentary, sci-fi/horror, LGBT, short film, animated short, and music video. All films are screened at the Babylon cinema in Berlin-Mitte with English or English-subtitles. BIFF operates independently from the Berlinale, but runs concurrently with it. 2. Klimt's Kiss: An Immersive Art Experience of Love and Life
Experience the life and art of the brilliant Gustav Klimt in a new and immersive way through "Klimt's Kiss." This unique show takes the audience on a journey back in time to Vienna at the turn of the century, led by the voices of a young student and Emilie Flöges, Klimt's closest confidante and muse. Through a fictional dialogue, the women offer a critical and female perspective on Klimt's work, particularly his portrayal of women. The show culminates in a breathtaking finale that showcases "The Kiss" as a testimony to an extraordinary love story, creating a deeply emotional experience. Although the accompanying texts are in German, the immersive exhibition transcends language to provide a truly captivating and unforgettable experience. Buy tickets!

3. Schall&Rausch: New Music Theatre Festival
Schall&Rausch is a new annual festival for brand-new music theatre that will take place at the former Kindl brewery in Berlin-Neukölln. The Komische Oper Berlin invites everyone to immerse themselves in an immersive cosmos of experimental music. One of the highlights of the festival is Trance, a twelve-hour performance by Tianzhuo Chen that combines traditional rituals with science fiction and techno-futuristic elements. Trance invites the audience to immerse themselves in a transcendental world of homo sapiens and aliens, speed gurus and spiritual ninjas, bony romance and cosmic inferno. The performance is divided into six chapters and encourages individual experiences of psychedelic variety, including meditating, expanding, and dancing bodies and beings. Read more!

4. Falling off the Face of the Earth: Contemporary Art and Performance Exhibition
THE FAIREST presents Falling off the Face of the Earth, a group exhibition at Trauma Bar und Kino exploring contemporary art and performance. This exhibition features works from eight artists and artist-duos who examine current issues shaping our present day, such as existential dread, sensory media overload, and a world in decay. By bringing these perspectives together, the exhibition aims to map a structure of feeling and unravel our sense of now. The event also includes live acts and performances ranging from live music sets to sound healing sessions, complementing the exhibition's immersive and emotional space. Read more!

5. That's What She Said": A Night of Stand-up Comedy
Come and check out one of Berlin's coolest bars, located in the basement of a former coal warehouse, for a night of hilarious stand-up comedy. You and your friends can kick back and relax while watching a lineup of some of the funniest and most entertaining women in the city. The comedians featured have been handpicked for their sparkling wit and humor that will have you laughing until your sides ache. The event is open to everyone, and nobody cares about what you have or don't have in your pants. The focus is solely on having a good time and enjoying the show. Buy tickets!
