Restaurant Suggestion:
Pho Bistro (⭐4/5)
As a pho enthusiast, I was curious to try this relatively new spot. The menu is small, with three appetizers, a few tray dishes that include different components (the sunny-side-up egg is eye-catching), and several pho options. All the pho is made with meat-based broth, so there are no vegetarian or vegan choices. You can select either chicken or a few types of beef. I appreciated that they offer a raw meat option, which is not very common in Berlin, where the thin slices cook directly in the hot broth. I ordered the fatty beef brisket, which came with meat that included visible fat. Personally, the fat was a bit too much for my taste, although I understand it is a popular choice in Vietnam. The staff, who I believe is also the owner, was friendly, polite, and checked in several times to see if everything was alright. Prices are on the lower side (€10-12/dish), and they only accept cash. One small detail I did not love was the use of lemon instead of lime with the pho, as I think lime brings out the flavors better.
