June 09-15: Mary Jane, Open Days at Hamburger Bahnhof, Weinfest, and more!
Things to do in Berlin - Week of June 09
I often use bike-sharing services since I don’t own a bike. More often than not, I find trash left in the bike baskets. It genuinely baffles me why someone would throw their trash there, knowing that eventually someone else has to clean it up. Why create more work for another person?
I find myself asking the same question when I walk through parks and see litter scattered on the ground. How long will it take for us, as a society to become more considerate of others and of our surroundings?
Is it an education issue? Is it a matter of personal character? And before we jump to stereotypes or prejudices, I’m quite sure this behavior isn’t limited to any particular race or group. It seems to be a very human problem.

Restaurant Suggestion:
Prince of Punjab - Indian Restaurant (⭐4/5)
We ended up going to this place based on a recommendation from a good friend (thanks Rohan!) of ours, and we’re glad we did. It serves North Indian cuisine. Apparently, it used to be called something else, but after some ownership changes and partners going their separate ways, they changed the name. The staff were extremely friendly. We were given an appetizer on the house when we arrived, and a dessert on the house at the end as well, which was a nice surprise. For food, we had the Chicken Masala and a Paneer dish. Both were very tasty, with rich flavors throughout. The food was a little on the oily side, but that’s fairly common with this type of cuisine. We also got paratha, tamarind chutney, and pickled onions on the side, all of which were delicious. To finish, we were served a dessert with yogurt, saffron, and pistachios, which was a great way to end the meal. It’s around €20 to €25 per person, and they take card. We’ll be back.
