The Archenhold-Sternwarte in Treptower Park - Germany's oldest and largest public observatory - hosts regular evening stargazing sessions using a 500 mm Cassegrain reflecting telescope. Visitors observe planets, the moon, nebulae, and galaxies up close while expert guides explain what's visible and share background on the instruments and the observatory's history (in German). 3. Berlin Jazz Week 2026
Berlin Jazz Week returns for its eighth edition, running June 20-26 across jazz clubs and open-air venues around the city. This year's theme is "Collective improv(e)ment", with the Berlin jazz scene presenting itself organically - rather than through a fixed curatorial structure - through concerts, improvised sets, and genre-crossing combinations. Some evenings also include discussions alongside the performances. More info.

4. English Guided City Tours in a Historic S-Bahn Train From 1928
The volunteers from Historische S-Bahn Berlin e.V. for the first time offer rides with an English guide in their historic train from 1928. They start 10:55 at Ostbahnhof via Charlottenburg and Grunewald to Wannsee and from back via Schöneberg and the S-Bahn Tunnel to Nordbahnhof (arr. 12:30). At 15:00 their train starts from Nordbahnhof in reverse direction (arr: 16.45). The English guide is in coach 3. More info.

5. Fête de la Musique 2026
On June 21, around 300 stages fill streets, squares, and parks across Berlin for the Fête de la Musique, the free outdoor music festival that has been part of the city's calendar since 1995. Musicians and bands of all genres perform in public spaces throughout the day. The event continues past midnight through the Fête de la Nuit, with around 30 venues including Else, Kater, and Wilde Renate extending the program indoors for those who want to keep going. More info.

6. Berlinale Open Air 2026
Freiluftkino Friedrichshain hosts the Berlinale Open Air from June 21 to 24, screening four films from the 76th Berlinale in its outdoor cinema in Friedrichshain. The 4 movies are: No Good Men, Sunny Dancer, Lola and Bilidikid, State Security. More info.
