June 17-23: Jewish Film Festival, Fête de la Musique, Open-Air Party, and more!
Things to do in Berlin - Week of June 17, 2024!
With what happened this month with the European Parliament elections and far-right parties gaining significant popularity in several countries across the European Union, it has become more important for all of us to stay informed about what’s happening in Germany and Europe, and how we can influence it. This is why I would like to introduce one of my recent favorite Substack newsletters, "How To Save Democracy," written by
, an economist and journalist from Berlin. His daily newsletter is a perfect, thought-provoking addition to your morning routine. And above all, each edition is only about a paragraph, making it easy to read without causing fatigue for those used to scrolling after a few seconds!I highly encourage everyone to check out his newsletter and subscribe to it!
⭐ P.S. We still have a few tickets left for our own event on Wednesday, the 19th June, exploring Kreuzberg in a game format.
Here's a sneak peek of what’s in store for you this week:

Every year on June 21, Berliners welcome the start of summer with the Fête de la Musique, an open-air music festival. Musicians and bands perform live music in the streets of Berlin for free, continuing a tradition that began in France and has been celebrated in Berlin since 1995. Restaurant Review:
Takumi NINE - Prenzlauer Berg (⭐4.5/5)
This is a good Ramen place. The broth is chicken-based, with vegan options available. Prices are slightly higher than average. They offer a "BIG" ramen option for an extra €3.5, but the regular portions are already ample.
Thank you very much for your kind recommendation, ZIM! It is bringing me a bunch of new subscribers. Welcome, dear subscribers! You might be slightly surprised by tomorrow's post because it will be a bit longer than ZIM has promised ("about one paragraph"). And some people may find the text somewhat provocative. It will be about military support for Ukraine. In any case, I hope my thoughts can spark some thoughts in you. We don't always have to come to the same conclusions but we have to listen to each other, right?
