1. Rooms / Stages - Helmut Newton Foundation
The Helmut Newton Foundation is currently running two interconnected exhibitions through November. "Rooms / Stages" is a group show in which around a dozen photographers treat space itself as the primary subject rather than a backdrop, working with long exposures, giant wall murals, and staged interiors. Newton's section of the show draws from his 1960s to 90s fashion work to reveal how he consistently turned hotel lobbies, garages, and Parisian locations into charged stages - contrasting exclusive design with raw exterior settings. 📅 Until 15 Nov
2. ://sektgarten
The ://sektgarten is ://about blank's summer garden in Friedrichshain, open every Tuesday through Friday from 17:00. The outdoor space runs at a relaxed pace - sparkling wine, beer, pizza, slushies, and snacks under the trees, with low-key background music and enough room to stay a while. There's table tennis, foosball, and bathtubs to dip your feet in, as well as quieter corners for conversation. Kids are welcome; dogs must be kept on a leash. More info.

7. ADIRA PARTY: Summer Edition
ADIRA, Berlin's queer Arab party and cultural series, is hosting its Summer Edition at KREUZWERK in Kreuzberg. The night takes its theme from Lebanese pop star Elissa's defiant stance - reclaiming a bad reputation, ignoring the noise, and showing up to dance anyway. Founded in 2023, ADIRA has run more than 30 events centering SWANA voices in Berlin across club nights, drag shows, and community gatherings. More info.

Restaurant Suggestion:
Dolden Mädel Ratsherrn Braugasthaus (⭐4/5)
If you’re craving German food and a good beer, this restaurant is a solid choice. They have a wide selection of beers, including traditional German options as well as craft beers with several IPA variations. The menu focuses on classic German dishes. We tried the Kohlroulade (€21.50) and the Wiener Schnitzel (€29.50), and both were tasty and well prepared. They also have a beer garden, which is a great spot on warm summer days. Inside, the restaurant is spacious, so finding a table is usually not a problem. The staff were friendly and comfortable communicating in English. Expect to pay around €30 per person, including a drink. They also accept card payments.
