BEW App Launch Party, and Things to do in Berlin - Week of May 06, 2024!
We've got some big news! Over the past few months, we've been hard at work creating an app for Berlin Events Weekly as an extension of our newsletter. We're thrilled to announce that the app is now complete and ready for release. The app allows you to find last-minute events, unlike the newsletter, which is sent out once a week. It has no limitation on the number of events suggested and includes Telegram Groups for each event, where you can find other people to attend events with.
To celebrate this milestone, we're hosting a launch party on Saturday, June 1st, coinciding with
’s second anniversary. Join us for a fantastic celebration featuring live music, DJs, snacks, and drinks at Vagabund Brauerei. We'd love to see you all there!
The space is limited, so make sure to grab your tickets before they sell out and come to support us as you have been doing for the past 1.5 years.

1. Intimate Silent Concerts - Hidden Garden
A small stage nestled in a beautiful hidden garden! Intimate Silent Concerts is a series of events featuring local talented artists (Marieke Krämer + Francamente for this week) in a cozy and beautiful setting. They provide umbrellas for rain, blankets for the cold, and a bar for bad moods. The events operate on a donation basis. You pay a 10€ deposit for the headphones and decide during the concert how much you want back. Reserve a spot!.

2. Hošek Contemporary - Sound Installation
Hošek Contemporary is quite a unique venue - it's a gallery set in a barge. They are hosting two improvised and experimental sound installations, the first one with Hannes Buder (guitar, cello) & Sofia Salvo (baritone saxophone), the second one with Lun Ário (real time sampler) & GubbiAnn (diy synths, no input) with Fragrant Frequencies. 3. VJ Open Lab - Audiovisual Performance
VJ Open Lab is a Berlin-based community fostering inspiration, experimentation, and knowledge exchange in the field of live video. They regularly organize events for artists to showcase their creations. For this edition, Rahul Sharma + Kat Polar, xmtry + Evestrum, nox&honig, and Makoto Inoue will showcase their works on a 270° projection space. 4. AVJam - Music & Visual Performance
AVJam is a platform for live music and visual performance, offering an evening dedicated to exploring and sharing audiovisual experiences. At each event, they present a diverse group of performers showcasing audio synthesis, procedural, audio-reactive, analogue, and generative works. For this occasion, they are celebrating their first-year anniversary. More info.

5. Nuance - Multimedia Group Exhibition | Contemporary Tattooing
Nuance focuses on the formative artistic movement of the tattoo scene, which today reaches almost everyone through tattoos and is freely accessible. The exhibition aims to present the broad spectrum of this art form in order to create an even broader and deeper awareness of its foundations and background! For this event, international artists will once again travel to Berlin to show their art on site, but also to present various tattoo techniques to the audience as a performative act. The program will be complemented by musical acts and various panel talks by the artists on topics relating to their art and tattooing. More info.
