May 20-26: Irish Theatre, Concert in Garden, Live Music, and more!
Things to do in Berlin - Week of May 20, 2024!
In the digital world of apps and AI, I occasionally enjoy analog things. I came across a publication that produces a series of printed maps focused on 20th-century architecture and design. Their Berlin titles include the Brutalist Berlin Map, U-Bahn Architecture & Design Map, Modern Berlin Map, and Berlin Type Map.
These maps are great to have on a coffee table for guests to read, as a present for someone who visited you in Berlin, or simply for a curious mind interested in the surroundings. I contacted the publisher, and they offered a 10% discount for subscribers (#NotSponsored) until the end of May with the code: BerlinEvents10
β P.S. We have released a few more tickets for our SUMMER KICKOFF party on June 1st, Saturday. This event is a great chance to meet people in the community and make new friends. Make sure to grab your tickets before they are all gone!
Here's a sneak peek of whatβs in store for you this week:

The organizers are celebrating their first birthday with a Haus Party in a magnificent Altbau in Mitte. They aim to recreate the pure joy of youth with loud music, colorful decorations, 2000s songs, kisses in the toilets, blurred photos, and hopefully no cops. Dress code: Wear your most outstanding dresses and anything that shines, or recreate your best outfits from the 00s. Everything that sparkles, and questionable fashion choices from the past. 5. KUPALA Release Show - GANNA FEAT: JULIAN SARTORIUS
Ganna Gryniva has been working with the folklore of her homeland, Ukraine, and combining it with jazz, experimental, and electronic music in various line-ups. In her latest album, KUPALA, she merges the authenticity and tradition of Ukrainian singing with modern composition and electronic music.
I saw her performance at an event a few months ago, and since then, I've been eagerly waiting for her show in Berlin to promote it in the newsletter. Ganna has a great voice, and her performance is nothing short of remarkable. Here is a video of one of her performances. More info.
