Oct 13-19: Jazz Concert, Comedy Night, Photography Exhibition, and more!
Things to do in Berlin - Week of Oct 13!
I learned recently that, as etiquette, when you bring a bottle to someone’s home as a gift, you’re not supposed to drink it yourself. Some say if the host opens that bottle, it means they didn’t plan enough drinks for their guests. Does that even matter? I always open the bottles guests bring, regardless of how much I planned. And I also drink my own bottle when I go somewhere!🍾

Restaurant Suggestion:
REI Bar | Izakaya (⭐4/5)
This place is for sharing different dishes with friends. The vibe is relaxed, and our waiter was a super nice French guy. Seating outside is limited, but inside there is plenty of space and big tables, so it works well for large groups or coworkers. Cocktails are fine for the price, but the food is the reason to go. The karaage chicken was very crispy and juicy, with yuzu mayo that added a clean kick without overpowering it. The katsu spicy quail eggs were a surprise hit, crispy outside and soft inside, with a chili sauce that fit well. The Hamachi sashimi had a bright zing and was fresh. The Tuna Tataki was fresh too, sitting on a soy-based sauce that actually added flavor. Our favorite dish was the charred cabbage, smoky with a nice crunch and an oil-based sauce that kept it moist. The mixed tomato salad was a good reset between the warmer plates. Average spend is about 35 euros per person including a beer.
