1. Berlin Solo Impro
One of the few festivals for solo improvisation worldwide is now in its eighth year. Over three days, 15 musicians from Berlin and beyond will perform solo sets followed by a collective improvisation on the final night. The program features artists from jazz, contemporary, and electronic music. Each evening begins with a short discussion with the artists before they perform 20-minute solos, concluding with a group improvisation where they respond to one another in real time. Tickets.

2. Modalities of Me - Electronic Music Ballet
Modalities of Me is a new ballet performed inside a large-scale installation by Swiss artists Encor Studios. Set to electronic music, the work explores how modern love is influenced by digital spaces, nightlife, constructed identities, and economic systems. It looks at how desire changes under social and cultural pressure and how it is displayed, traded, and consumed. The piece invites audiences to consider how intimacy is experienced today and how it may be at risk of becoming more fragile. More info.

Restaurant Suggestion:
KINK Bar & Restaurant (⭐5/5)
Kink Restaurant has recently shifted to a menu of smaller, shareable plates at friendlier prices. The garden terrace remains one of Berlin’s best summer spots, and occasional events in the bar keep the energy high. The menu covers vegetarian and meat options, focused on seafood, pork, and beef. We ate sardines with olive oil (€3 each), burrata with pistachio (€15) that paired well with bread, wild broccoli (€16), a bright fennel salad (€13), octopus (€17), cabbage salad (€14), lemon pasta (€17), white bean salad (€7), pork belly (€14), and pralines (€10). Highlights were the pork belly, with beautifully charred fat, the sardines, and the fennel salad. The lemon pasta and pralines were less memorable. Their rotating house spritz was a summery refresh. Service was warm and attentive. Card only. We paid about €50 per person including one alcoholic drink. Good for dates, visiting parents, or friends who like to share.
