1. Oktoberfest in Berlin
In Berlin, you can also hear "O'zapft is," signaling the start of Oktoberfest. Many Oktoberfest celebrations in the city bring a taste of Bavaria, offering culinary treats like roast pork knuckles, veal sausage, and soft pretzels. At these gatherings, you'll find the famous Oktoberfest beer and can enjoy traditional live music. Check out the link provided to discover all the city's festivals this year. If you haven't attended one yet, it's a must-do experience!

2. IMAGE ECOLOGY - Photography
Every day, we encounter climate crisis visuals—flooded areas, wildfires, and industrial damage, often from above. Yet, understanding climate change remains complex. New photographers creatively address environmental impacts of our profit-driven global system and examine photography's own ecological footprint. Photos don't just depict waste; they contribute to it. The "Image Ecology" exhibition explores artistic approaches to the environment and photography's role globally. These works aren't just images; they reflect picture-making's ecological impact. More info.

3. ‘Are You Syncopated?’ Festival
This unique festival blends jazz bands and swing dancing into an exciting format. Alongside concerts, the program features workshops, jam sessions, daytime activities, and a family program. "Are You Syncopated?!" (AYS?!) serves as a meeting point for Berlin's early jazz community and international guests, celebrating jazz culture with inclusivity and enthusiasm. It doesn't squarely fit the mold of a dance festival or a jazz festival; instead, it strikes a harmonious balance in between. The program.

Looking to infuse some green into your life? Plants for All is back with a wallet-friendly plant sale! This event offers a diverse selection of plants, including Monstera, Pilea, Ficus, Calathea, and many more, starting at just €2. All plants come directly from the producer to ensure top-notch quality, and there are larger and rarer options available from €15. They've also simplified the selection process by categorizing plants as beginner-friendly, suitable for shade, or virtually indestructible. More info.

5. Schöneberg Pumpkin Festival
On the first weekend of October, the Pumpkin Festival occurs on Akazienstraße and Belziger Straße in Schöneberg. This street festival features more than 10,000 pumpkins in 20 different types. Restaurant of the week:
Breslau- Polish Restaurant (Prenzlauer Berg)
The dishes might not look 'designed,' but the taste is pretty good. This is a potato pancake with Goulash. The pierogies are pretty good too.
Breslau - one of my favorite places in Berlin! 🙌🏼🥟
