1. Tag der Clubkultur
Tag der Clubkultur is an annual event that highlights the variety within Berlin's club and nightlife scene. It offers Berlin clubs a chance to showcase themselves through different event formats, allowing the public to engage with their unique atmospheres. This year's theme, "Beyond Tomorrow: Remaining Hopeful in Chaos," focuses on the role of clubs as places that push boundaries and inspire resilience and forward-thinking. 2. Gegen X Buttons - Chains
Since the sex-positive party in last week’s newsletter received the highest number of clicks (!), I decided to include another sex-positive party this week—this one is more queer-focused and hardcore!
Chains, a collaboration between Gegen and Buttons, encourages you to celebrate the fluidity of your desires and identities, acknowledging the tension between control and surrender as part of an ongoing journey of self-discovery. There will be performances, darkrooms, and the dress code centers around chains, leather, and rubber! More info.

3. Festival of Lights
Once a year, Berlin's iconic landmarks and monuments become the stage for light and video projections during the Festival of Lights. For ten days in October, many of the city’s notable sites—including historical locations, major streets, and cultural hotspots—will be illuminated. The 2024 theme, "Celebrating Freedom," explores ideas of personal freedom, self-expression, and individual development. Starting each evening at 7 p.m., you can witness the switch-on of these light displays, which run until 11 p.m. The map.

4. Wellenbad n°03 - Underwater Live Concert
Wellenbad offers a unique musical experience for a swimming audience, both above and below the water. Composers Joseph Baader, Nathalie Brum, and Vincent Stange will set up underwater speakers at Stadtbad Neukölln, and on Saturday, October 5, trio Wellenbad and Nina Pixel will perform a live electro-acoustic concert, with sound designed to be heard both in and out of the water.
