Our first Singles Event & List of things to do in Berlin, week of September 18, 2023!
We had our first Singles Event this weekend, which was a walking tour of Berlin's Street Art Scene led by Tina (She was great! You can hire her services for your company's team-building events!). Personally, I had a lot of fun learning new things about Berlin. Every day, we miss many great things around us because we don't stop to look!

1. ZSÓFIA KERESZTES - IN ETHYLENE ARMS
Hungarian artist Zsófia Keresztes specializes in crafting sizable sculptures and installations by blending various materials that oscillate between the digital and tangible domains. This is her first solo exhibition with KÖNIG GALERI. Her art is often in soft colors like light blue, beige, coral, and pink, which makes it seem like a mix of real and make-believe. Keresztes skillfully puts different shapes together in complex patterns, full of interesting ideas and bold structures. More info.

2. THE NIGHT MARKET
This weekend, the NAPOLEON KOMPLEX will be transformed into a hub for design, fashion, vintage items, lifestyle products, brands, shops, art, tattoos, and live music, both day and night. This event will feature more than 50 exhibitors. Attendees can explore an art exhibition showcasing various artists and interactive spaces like the "Be Part of the Art" area. There will be live bands performing on the Open Air Stage during the day and a secret indoor-Warehouse Party featuring local DJs from 22:00 onwards. More info.

3. Hive Film Days
The Hive Film Days will occur for the third consecutive year, emphasizing diversity within the short film industry. The festival will showcase five collections of short films addressing various facets of deconstructing-isms. The program features films from across the globe, accompanied by scheduled Q&A sessions with the filmmakers. Furthermore, the event will incorporate performances and live music to complement the Hive Film Days experience. More info.

4. Pantopia Festival Vol. 5
After a successful fourth edition in early July, the PANTOPIA FESTIVAL is back this weekend, transforming the former AEG site in Berlin Oberschöneweide into a hub for international artists and musicians from Australia, Turkey, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Berlin-based talents. The event boasts a rich program that spans concerts, performances, exhibitions, installations, and DJ sets, all extending into the late hours over the two days. More info.

5. Vegan Sundays by Green Market Berlin
Berlin's first vegan lifestyle market - Green Market Berlin - is presenting a new event concept for food lovers and those curious about vegan living, offering a variety of plant-based street food options like vegan gyros, burgers, hotdogs, smoothies, cookies, and waffles. Live music adds to the fun, and there's a small market with vegan food items, cruelty-free cosmetics, second-hand clothing, and handcrafted home goods and accessories to take home. More info.

6. Drag Brunch With The Queens
Brunch Queens is bringing back their popular drag brunch event! This time, Absinthia Absolut, Judy LaDivina, and Harpy Fatale are hosting the show. You'll see fabulous outfits, fantastic lip-syncs, incredible dances, and three hours of drag entertainment. Your ticket gets you a free welcome Mimosa, access to an all-you-can-eat buffet, and a super fun Sunday afternoon. Buy tickets.

African Beats & Pieces | Fast & Curious
The event series "African Beats & Pieces" is experimenting with a new concept: the music's tempo will accelerate throughout the night, increasing by 10 BPM per hour. To achieve this, we've curated a lineup of different DJs, each assigned to an hour, whose style and selections match the changing tempo. "African Beats & Pieces" has been an ongoing event series in Berlin since 2017, dedicated to showcasing music from Africa, with a focus on lesser-known artists. More info.
